Keynote: The Road to Space and the Future

Room 3
18:00 - 19:00
(UTC+02

Talk (60 min)

Wednesday
The presentation will start with my personal story of how I became an astronaut, a bit about training and short videos from my two missions to the International Space Station ISS in 2006 and 2009.
Space

I'll talk about ISS and living and research in space. Then move on to the future of human spaceflight: commercial space stations, the Moon and Mars. However, I will also touch upon the fast growing utilization of space in general. The space economy is expected to reach 1 trillion dollars annually in 10-15 years. During the whole speech I will comment here and there on software and computers where I have encountered that or have thoughts for the future.

Christer Fuglesang
